Donor Spotlight: CORT Furniture

Communications Admin • May 06, 2020
Coalition donors make a huge positive impact on the work to solve homelessness in the Houston region. Their support means the Coalition can continue to align funding, agencies, and work so we can end homelessness for people and families as quickly as possible.

This month we would like to point our donor spotlight on CORT Furniture for their continued partnership and generous support of our mission!

CORT began its local partnership with the Coalition for the Homeless in 2015 by joining our Landlord Marketing workgroup to provide expertise and financial support for our work to recruit apartment properties for the homeless response system. CORT has also been a proud sponsor of many Coalition events, including last year's "Pancakes and Solutions" World Homeless Day Breakfast!

Across the US, CORT is a business and philanthropic leader in their industry. They make houses - both temporary and permanent - into homes by providing high-quality delivered and assembled furniture and home goods. CORT also supports many Permanent Supportive Housing projects and partner agencies throughout Houston and the country by offering top customer service.

CORT has also stepped up in a leadership role during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing furniture for organizations like FEMA and for traveling nurses and healthcare workers.

In addition to the financial support that CORT provides to the Coalition, their employees forge meaningful bonds with us (and the other agencies they partner with!) and always go above and beyond for our local homeless response system.

The staff and Board of Directors at the Coalition are proud to count CORT Furniture and its team members as friends and supporters - thank you for your generosity!
