Coalition for the Homeless Hosts Annual World Homeless Day Luncheon October 12
August 16, 2016 | The Coalition for the Homeless will host its annual World Homeless Day Luncheon on October 12 at 11:30 am at the Hilton Americas-Houston. For more than 33 years, the Coalition has served those who serve homeless individuals by leading in the development, advocacy, and coordination of community strategies to prevent and end homelessness. Coalition for the Homeless Count Results Show 57% Reduction in Homelessness Since 2011

Coalition for the Homeless Count Results Show 46% Reduction in Houston, Harris County, Fort Bend County Homelessness
June 10, 2015 | The Coalition for the Homeless of Houston/Harris County conducted its annual Point-In-Time Homeless Count on January 29 and the results have now been released. The data shows Houston, Harris County, and Fort Bend County collectively continuing a four year trend in reducing homelessness this year, marking a 46% decrease in homelessness on a given night compared with 2011. Homeless Youth in Houston: May 13 Presentation Reveals High Needs
May 4, 2015 | Homeless youth are a vulnerable and often invisible population in our community, and conflicting definitions across federal agencies make it difficult to correctly identify the size of the population. Youth Count! 2.0 is a community-generated project led by the University of Houston in partnership with the Homeless Youth Network, and funded by the Houston Community Foundation to count youth who were both literally homeless and in an unstable housing situation in Harris County. Houston Continuum of Care Announces Success in Housing More Than 300 Veterans in 100 Days, Federal Funding For New Projects
August 23, 2013 | The Houston Continuum of Care (CoC) announced that the Housing Houston’s Heroes initiative has housed 357 homeless veterans, 195 of them chronically homeless in 100 days. IN addition, the Houston CoC received funds for three new permanent supportive housing (PSH) projects as well as planning money from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD_VASH) funding. Coalition Welcomes new Staff Members
August 5, 2013 | Marilyn L. Brown, President & CEO of the Coalition for the Homeless of Houston and Harris County announced the appointments of Eva Thibaudeau-Graczyk, LCSW and Sara L. Brown to the staff of the non-profit organization that works to prevent and end homelessness. Thibaudeau-Graczyk, a community services advocate with 15 years of field experience, will join the management team as the Director of Programs while Brown will serve in a new position as the Special Assistant to the President/CEO.

Fewer People Are Experiencing Homelessness In Houston

Charrette Final Report
