Founded in 1982, the Coalition is celebrating 40 years of leading our community home.

Join us on October 10 to learn more about how you can make an impact on the next 40!

The Coalition for the Homeless leads the work to prevent and end homelessness in the Houston region by leveraging resources to address the issue and directing data-driven results. Since 2012, overall homelessness in our community has decreased by 63% and more than 25,000 people have moved into housing.

A strong Coalition is vital to an effective homeless response system. We unite partners and maximize resources so our direct service partners - a lot of the ones you know by name - have the capacity to help people in crisis.

On October 10, the Coalition is commemorating World Homeless Day by launching our 40 for 40 campaign, with the goal of securing 40 donors to each make a $40,000 gift or pledge to the Coalition.

This support will allow the Coalition to increase its flexible reserves that are essential to starting community programs ahead of available public funding, work with new and diverse grassroots organizations, and continue to lead the system with flexibility and the expert staff needed to continue our forward progress.
