Local ABC-13 anchor Melanie Lawson will serve as the emcee, and Mayor Annise Parker will provide the keynote address by sharing a personal story with a connection to homelessness not often told -“Our Journey With Our Son.”
Texas Conference on Ending Homelessness
The Coalition for the Homeless of Houston/Harris County shared the expertise of its staff members with two conference presentations at the Texas Conference on Ending Homelessness, which took place September 26-28, 2012. The 2012 Houston Homeless Count was presented by Gary Grier; and Creating a Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Strategic System presented by Whitney Fleming.
Charrette Final Report
Sep 06, 2012 | The Coalition for the Homeless of Houston/Harris County issued a final report in August from the Charrette process it hosted in Houston, with support from the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH). More than 450 diverse stakeholders from the community participated in the Charrette including business leaders, homeless service providers, faith-based organization executives and consumers (those who are currently or have experienced homelessness).
