Cold Weather Update

In anticipation of the cold weather this weekend, The Coalition for the Homeless is coordinating information for partner agencies and the general public, and will be keeping an updated list of those resources listed below for individuals who may be experiencing homelessness.

  • 1960 Hope Center – 744 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77090: Expanded capacity, overnight, all weekend
  • Bay Area Homeless Services – 3406 Wisconsin St, Baytown, TX 77520: Expanded capacity for men, women and families experiencing homelessness
  • Bread of Life – 1703 Gray St, Houston, TX 77002: Blanket distribution 11am-1pm Saturday
  • Sobering Center – 150 N. Chenevert St, Houston, TX 77002: Some additional capacity for men and women experiencing homelessness
  • The Salvation Army – 1717 Congress Ave, Houston, TX 77002: Limited expanded capacity for men referred by Houston Police’s Homeless Outreach Team
  • The Salvation Army/Conroe Shelter – 301 Avenue E, Conroe, TX 77301: Expanded capacity for men, women and families experiencing homelessness
  • Star of Hope MDC – 1811 Ruiz St, Houston, TX 77002: Expanded capacity for men experiencing homelessness
