The Coalition for the Homeless recently welcomed two new staff members: Takeshia Richardson, HMIS Senior Manager, and Susan King, HMIS Administrative Assistant.
Takeshia comes to the Coalition from Cigna, a health insurance company, where she had served as a Data Analyst. Before her time in the corporate world, Takeshia had worked at SEARCH Homeless Services, also as a Data Analyst, so it’s no wonder she describes herself as “very technical and analytical.” A previous recipient of the HMIS Support Committee’s Trailblazer Award, Takeshia is thrilled to be back in the nonprofit arena where she can see the change she helps to create on a daily basis.
Like Takeshia, Susan King is no stranger to the nonprofit world; Susan has spent the last 20 years working with various organizations, most recently with Trinity Episcopal Church. After volunteering through a prison ministry outreach, Susan knew that she wanted to be able to help others everyday, and so began her nonprofit career. She is excited to be at the Coalition, and hopes to help our partner organizations make Houston a better place.
