The City of Houston anticipates receiving grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program to implement various public services. Child Care Council of Greater Houston, Inc. is accepting proposals from nonprofit organizations for the provision of the following services:
Child Care Program – to expand child care services, provide parental development training and information regarding other family support services
Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Program – to reduce and prevent juvenile delinquency by providing services focusing on character development and life skills for youth.
Emergency Solutions Grants Program – to reduce and prevent homelessness, provide support services to assist the homeless and rapidly re-house homeless persons and families.
- All agencies submitting proposals for CDBG funds must be registered 501(c)(3).
- The Contract term is twelve months beginning March 1, 2013.
- Request for Proposals (RFP) will be available for download beginning January 18, 2013 at www.cccghi.com.
- Child Care Council will hold the following conferences to review application procedures and answer questions regarding this RFP:
January 22, 2013 1:00 pm Child Care Program
January 23, 2013 10:30 am Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Program
January 24, 2013 10:30 am Emergency Solutions Grants Program
- Proposals must be completed as instructed in the RFP and submitted to Child Care Council by February 1, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.
